Soo-Jung Ann was born in Seoul in 1987. She studied with Prof. Choong-Mo Kang and obtained the Bachelor degree of Music at the Korean National University of Arts in Feb. 2007. She has been a student of Prof. John O’Conor and Prof. Thérèse Fahy at the Royal Irish Academy of Music since Sep. 2007. In 2009, she received the Master degree of Music in Performance and now she is studying for the Doctoral degree of Music in Performance.

Also Soo-Jung has been a student of Prof. Pavel Gililov at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg since Sep. 2012. She studied for a Postgraduate Course until Jun. 2014.

 

Soo-Jung Ann has had great success at International Piano Competitions- the 1st prize winner of 5th International Telekom Beethoven Competition in Bonn, ABM-Prize of Piano Academy in Eppan., the 1st prize at the Concurs Maria Canals of Barcelona in 2012, the 4th prize of the Hong Kong International Piano Competition in 2011, the 3rd prize of the AXA Dublin International Piano Competition in 2009.

 

Soo-Jung Ann has performed widely and as a concerto soloist with Klassische Philharmonic Orchestra, Kracow Philharmonic Orchestra, Macedonia Philharmonic Orchestra, Wieniawski Philharmonic Orchestra, Rzeszow Philharmonic Orchestra, RTE National Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Barcelona Catalan Valles Symphony Orchestra and Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra.
